Measure me up to size

Measure me up to Size (2020) was a mini project exploring my relationship with my body hair as a form of decoration. I was 17 years old, 6 months on testosterone and fed up with the oversexualized and inauthentic common preconception of what it means to be trans(gender/sexual). The desire to be wanted and the frustration from being treated like “a hot transexual experience” complicated my understanding of self. I see myself as male but my body didn’t align but did I make the right decision transitioning if this is how strangers perceive me or… is your perception of me damaged based off what I wear?
